Dahlia ‘Formby Alpine’ is an elegant Australian miniature decorative cultivar, boasting crisp, pristine white blooms with beautifully layered petals that lend it a classic, timeless charm. Standing at around 1.2 to 1.5 metres tall with a tidy 50–60 cm spread, its slender, upright structure makes it equally suited to mixed borders, cutting rows, or formal garden compositions. A favourite among florists, Formby Alpine excels as a cut flower, delivering strong support through its sturdy stems, long vase life of 6–9 days, and dependable flowering—making it both a stunning and practical choice for bouquets, exhibitions, and wedding work.
Dahlias prefer a full sun to part shade position, and are also ideal for pots and containers. Flowers usually take 120 days to bloom once planted, and with deadheading will flower for months from summer into autumn.
Supplied as a dormant tuber.
