Produces deep red skinned stems. When harvesting, cut stalks with a sharp knife at ground level, but once the stalks become too thin then cease. Rhubarb likes lots of water and regular feeding. Enjoys cool climates.
Very rich organic, well drained soil. After planting add a cup of general purpose fertilizer per plant. Thrives on regular composting. Doesn’t like to be disturbed needs to be planted in a permanent position.
