Dahlia Boundary Snowflake is an exquisite Australian-bred variety, known for its delicate, collarette-style blooms that resemble soft, falling snow. Bred for both beauty and performance, this dahlia features a central ruff of pale lemon-yellow petals encircled by a single layer of crisp white outer petals, creating a subtle yet striking contrast. Its refined appearance makes it a standout in both garden beds and floral arrangements.
Reaching a height of approximately 90 to 105 centimetres, Boundary Snowflake has a strong, upright growth habit, ideal for the middle or back of a garden border. It thrives in full sun and rich, free-draining soil, producing an abundance of flowers from mid-summer through to the first frost. As with most dahlias, regular deadheading will encourage continuous blooming.
Highly valued as a cut flower, Boundary Snowflake offers long stems and excellent vase life, making it a favourite among Australian flower farmers and home gardeners. Though it is a tender perennial suited to warmer climates (zones 8–11), tubers can be lifted and stored in cooler areas over winter. With its graceful form and reliable performance, this variety is a charming and practical addition to any dahlia collection.
Dahlias prefer a full sun to part shade position, and are also ideal for pots and containers. Flowers usually take 120 days to bloom once planted, and with deadheading will flower for months from summer into autumn.
Supplied as a dormant tuber.
