Dahlia 'Florelie Whipped Cream' is an elegant Australian-bred variety known for its creamy white blooms with soft, ruffled petals. This large informal decorative dahlia typically reaches heights of 1.2 to 1.5 meters and has a spread of approximately 50 centimeters. Its long, sturdy stems make it an excellent choice for cut flowers, offering a vase life of about 5–7 days when harvested at the correct stage. The plant thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, with a planting depth of 5 cm and spacing of 40 cm for cut flowers. It blooms from November to May, making it suitable for various Australian climates, with tropical regions best planting during winter months.
Dahlias prefer a full sun to part shade position, and are also ideal for pots and containers. Flowers usually take 120 days to bloom once planted, and with deadheading will flower for months from summer into autumn.
Supplied as a dormant tuber.
