Achillea Summer Pastels (Achillea millefolium) is a mix of hardy cottage perennials with flowers in the soft shades of rose, pink, apricot and cream.
Also known as Yarrow, Achillea shows off large flower heads that are made up of clusters of small daisy like flowers. Despite being an incredibly tough plant, Achillea flowers better in light shade and moist soil but is extremely drought tolerant once established. The clumping habit and upright facing flowers makes Achillea ideal for borders and rockeries, as well as being a very useful cut flower, and the long flowering season means this plant is a highlight in gardens or pots for many months. Achillea is a very good plant to use for attracting beneficial insects to your garden, as bees and butterflies love the prolific flowering habit.
Cut plants back in late Winter/ Spring to allow for fresh new growth once the warmer weather arrives.
